Glass design galleries

These Galleries show samples of my work. They are subdivided into Modern and Traditional.  I  use the word Traditional  to differentiate the way in which a piece has been made. The work in the Traditional gallery has been constructed using the time honoured process of leaded lights.

The modern gallery shows examples of  other techniques I have  developed to be able to make glass work that does not use lead. This was my main motivation in doing the Post graduate glass course at Central St Martins, to discover ways of working in glass that could be more flowing and lighter in spirit, as I often found the heaviness of the lead lines became an obstruction to the effect I wanted to capture.

Traditional Designs

*These are my most recent works using leaded lights. The traditional gallery shows work that has been made with the use of lead and painted glass.*

Contemporary Designs

The Contemporary gallery has images that heve been created with layers  of silkscreening, bonding, painting and sandblasting. Some work contains a layer of fusing. There is no use of traditional leading.
